Speaking Sensation

If You Like the Limelight, This Could Be Your Dream Job

Have you ever noticed that wherever there's a crowd, there's a speaker? Whether you're in a classroom, at a function, or even a family reunion, there's usually someone addressing the crowd.

Public speaking is a great way to make great money, but is often overlooked by people because it seems more difficult--or more frightening--than it is. Once you master the basics, you'll be surprised at how easily you can make money--perhaps substantial money--by public speaking.

Here's how you can turn speaking into cash:

  • Advertise your business. What if you could have an interested, targeted audience at your beck and call? Speak to local or national associations who can benefit from your product or service and find out.

  • Boost your credibility. Want to be a standout in your field or even your company? Speak regularly to your collegues or in your workplace and you'll be viewed as "the expert" in your area. What's more, you could find your mail box stuffed with more public speaking invitations to share your knowledge with others. Interested in an all expensed paid trip a couple times a year?

  • Make money. Many experts are paid from $2,500 to $15,000 per speech, depending on topic, audience, and celebrity, and travel and expenses are often included as part of the deal. Do the math: how many talks would you have to give a month to replace your current income?

If you like public speaking or enjoy the limelight, this could be THE idea you've been looking for. With a little practice and some polish, you could become the well paid "center of attention".
